The film follows the extraordinary story of Dr. Teresita Rodr\u00edguez, a trailblazing Cuban scientist who sets out to develop an Alzheimer\u2019s treatment inspired by her mother\u2019s diagnosis, joined by a team of all-women scientists. What begins as an effort to save her mother, leads to a discovery that could change how the world treats this devastating disease. Teresita\u2019s journey unfolds in Havana\u2019s world-class biotech sector amid the challenges of the U.S. embargo\u2014a powerful story of science, care, hope, and resistance. The film\u2019s Cuban director, Daniel Montero, will Zoom in for a Q&amp;A. Elisabeth Stevens, an American who directs \u2018Americans for Common Sense on Cuba\u2019 will join the discussion. She is focused on medical exchanges with Cuba and can also answer questions about state of US embargo and how it impacts healthcare in Cuba and Americans\u2019 ability to access Cuban produced drugs.
