{"id":318365,"date":"2026-07-20T12:00:52","date_gmt":"2026-07-20T11:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/?p=318365"},"modified":"2026-07-15T13:24:24","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T12:24:24","slug":"in-defense-of-the-international-criminal-court-icc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/2026\/07\/in-defense-of-the-international-criminal-court-icc\/","title":{"rendered":"In Defense of the International Criminal Court-ICC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>15 Jul 2026 &#8211; <\/em>At a time when risks are rising and international cooperation is under attack, we need institutions capable of managing risks that no single country can, alone.<\/p>\n<p>The International Criminal Court is such an institution of world law.\u00a0 The Association of World Citizens is devoted to the development of world law as a basis of relations among governments and peoples. It had worked for the\u00a0creation of the ICC as a vital agent for the respect of world law.\u00a0 The International Criminal Court is currently under attack by certain governments especially the U.S.A.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, there is a need for non-governmental organizations to take a lead in the promotion of the ICC.
