When the humans stop biting
\nand stabbing each other
\nand spraying everything
\nwith blood and oil.<\/p>\n

When the men remove
\ntheir iron breastplates
\nand stand tender and vulnerable
\nin their original beauty.<\/p>\n

When the women retrieve
\ntheir tongues
\nfrom the lead-lined jars
\nin the basement
\nand sing feral and free
\nbeneath the streetlights.<\/p>\n

When we release the eels
\nand arrows from our bellies
\nand stop bracing for the impact
\nof the fists of our fathers.<\/p>\n

When we vomit out
\nthe nattering humonculi
\nin our skulls
\nand live
\nin our natural serenity.<\/p>\n

When we stop taking orders
\nfrom the bank boys
\nand money men
\nand join hands with the cousins
\nthey trained us to snarl at.<\/p>\n

When we turn the gunships
\ninto gardens
\nand make the robots
\nwork for us.<\/p>\n

When we come together
\nas native terrestrials
\nagainst the freaks
\nwith mechanical minds.<\/p>\n

That will be the beginning.
\nThat will be our birth day.
\nThat will be the dawn
\nof a wild and wonderful
\nadventure.<\/p>\n
