Were I to be a criminal
\nI’d try to be original.<\/p>\n

Instead of robbing banks and stores
\nI’d like to rob the world of wars.<\/p>\n

I’d steal them all and hide them well,
\nand if asked where I’d never tell.<\/p>\n

I know this would be hard on those
\nwho love to fight their evil foes,
\nwho make good livings from such strife,
\nwho profit from the loss of life.<\/p>\n

But if my theft created peace
\nand made the constant bloodshed cease,
\nI hope that for my dreadful crime
\nI would not have to serve much time.
