{"id":38873,"date":"2014-01-27T12:00:33","date_gmt":"2014-01-27T12:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/?p=38873"},"modified":"2015-05-05T22:20:03","modified_gmt":"2015-05-05T21:20:03","slug":"cuba-will-propose-celac-to-declare-latin-america-a-peace-zone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/2014\/01\/cuba-will-propose-celac-to-declare-latin-america-a-peace-zone\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuba Will Propose CELAC to Declare Latin America a Peace Zone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cuban deputy foreign minister Abelardo Moreno said that his country will propose the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, to take place January 28 and 29 [2014] in Havana, to declare this region a peace zone.<\/p>\n<p>Moreno explained that for some years now, Latin America and the Caribbean is a zone free of nuclear weapons, since the Tlatelolco treaty was signed by 33 countries of the region.
