Nil.<\/p>\n<p>We praise our lordship &#8211; President Thein Sein &#8211; for his wise policy of &#8221;two child for Bengali&#8217;<br \/>\nOur President-gyi is ably advised by our genocidal Shan Princess<br \/>\nLady Yin Yin Nwe<br \/>\nShe ain&#8217;t no ordinary woman either,<br \/>\nFormer head of UNICEF in China and poshly educated at Cambridge.<\/p>\n<p>With men and women of world class caliber<br \/>\nWe ain&#8217;t scared of your feeble American sanctions.<\/p>\n<p>How dare you liberals tell us Myanmar Buddhists<br \/>\nwhat to do about the &#8220;Bengali&#8221;!??:<br \/>\nwe entrust the matter in Immigration Minister Nwa Khin Yi<br \/>\naided and abetted by his Nwe Adviser the Cornellian Dr Kyaw Yin Hlaing<\/p>\n<p>No, we won&#8217;t share our food with them &#8211; not even their infants.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t waste your time harping on Rohingya citizenship.<br \/>\n1982 Citizenship Act is for eternity<br \/>\nEthnicity is what we say it is.<\/p>\n<p>Be pragmatic like UNICEF.<br \/>\nSay, &#8220;Sorry for saying Rohingya&#8221;.<br \/>\nPay your rent to ex-generals<br \/>\nIf you really want to save our children.<\/p>\n<p>Be smart like Norway and its Minister Solheim.<br \/>\nTake the corporate contracts &#8211; for Telenor and Statoil<br \/>\nStay off Rohingya genocide.<\/p>\n<p>Oslo knows there is no end in sight for Myanmar&#8217;s &#8220;Buddhist&#8221; genocide.<br \/>\nReforms may be reversible, but mass atrocities are not.<\/p>\n<p>Not even Gotama Buddha can save the Rohingya<br \/>\nfrom these Myamar&#8217;s genocidaires.<br \/>\nWe are tourist-friendly &#8220;Buddhists&#8221;<br \/>\nBut don&#8217;t mistake our smiles for Buddhist Metta.<br \/>\nWe take no shit from nobody.<br \/>\nWe may even be worse than your deadliest tropical snakes.<br \/>\nOur cruelty and depravity know no bounds.<\/p>\n<p>How dare you lecture us on Buddhist Metta.<br \/>\nWe are the Buddhists who don&#8217;t give a shit about Buddhism.<br \/>\nWho cares about Nirvana!??<\/p>\n<p>In monks, we trust.<br \/>\nThey are our moral compass.<br \/>\nMen with shaven heads in Saffron robes<br \/>\nOur President Thein Sein says they are &#8216;peace loving sons of Lord Buddha&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>These Holy Men raise us on genocidal hatred.<br \/>\nThey teach us the virtues of Nazish racial purity.<br \/>\nOur generals say our national security is at stake.<br \/>\nAnd they agree.<\/p>\n<p>So, our sovereignty comes before Bengali human rights.<\/p>\n<p>Our President says he will make us legally Nazi Buddhists<br \/>\nThat is our inalienable right.<\/p>\n<p>Our Lady of Latter-Day Silence denies, &#8220;there is no &#8216;ethnic cleansing&#8217; in Burma&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Our feisty multi-ethnic feminists may stand up for their vaginal rights.<\/p>\n<p>But we are all united in our &#8216;Bengali&#8221; genocide!<\/p>\n<p><em>Zarni, 10 June 2014<\/em><\/p>\n<p>_________________________________<\/p>\n<p><em>Maung Zarni<\/em><em>, Associate Fellow, the University of Malaya. <em>Dr. Maung Zarni is a <\/em>member of the TRANSCEND Network for Peace, Development and Environment, <\/em><em>founder and director of the Free Burma Coalition (1995-2004), and a visiting fellow (2011-13) at the Civil Society and Human Security Research Unit, Department of International Development, London School of Economics.
