But away from his instruments, Jos\u00e9 is just like any other nine-year-old boy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 was born and raised in the colonial town of Totora, Bolivia &#8211; not exactly the epicenter of jazz. His father Roberto says Jos\u00e9 didn&#8217;t inherit the jazz gene from him:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t know jazz before, he got me into it.
