\nand Jingle Bells
\ncranked out of loudspeakers
\nin malls and street corners.<\/p>\n
She is missing
\nfrom the victims of wars
\nwhich seem to be routine fate
\nof humankind.<\/p>\n
She is missing from young lives
\nwho have lost parents
\nto the famished beasts of fanatics.<\/p>\n
She is missing
\nfrom the sufferers of physical
\nand psychological abuse.<\/p>\n
She is missing
\nfrom the lives deprived of basic food,
\nclean water and warm clothing.<\/p>\n
She is missing
\nfrom homes fallen to warfare
\nand children who are innocent bait
\nfor Aids and cancer.
