{"id":52889,"date":"2015-01-26T12:00:09","date_gmt":"2015-01-26T12:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/?p=52889"},"modified":"2015-05-05T21:26:12","modified_gmt":"2015-05-05T20:26:12","slug":"prison-trauma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/2015\/01\/prison-trauma\/","title":{"rendered":"Prison Trauma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an exercise of<br \/>\nPsychopathology<br \/>\nStudents are told<br \/>\nTo find<br \/>\nA safe place<br \/>\nAnd to go in<\/p>\n<p>My home, your room<br \/>\nIn the forest<br \/>\nUnder a tree<br \/>\nA hidden cave<br \/>\nQuickly went out<\/p>\n<p>My mind<br \/>\nCrippled and entered<br \/>\nStayed there<br \/>\nNever ever again<br \/>\nExpected<\/p>\n<p>Older and rumbly<br \/>\nWhite washed patches<br \/>\nDirty big walls<br \/>\nThree sides secured me<\/p>\n<p>The heavy iron door<br \/>\nKept me watched<br \/>\nAnd locked by the big key<\/p>\n<p>I was safe and slept<br \/>\nShadows of inmates<br \/>\nShaded in and out<\/p>\n<p>I was called<br \/>\nTo come slowly<br \/>\nOut of the place<\/p>\n<p>Stepped to the door<br \/>\nWas not opened<br \/>\nThe jailor or the guard<br \/>\nWas not near by<\/p>\n<p>I was called<br \/>\nCome to the present<br \/>\nAnd to open my eyes<br \/>\nFrom closed of my eyes<br \/>\nTears fell out<br \/>\nHid it I in<\/p>\n<p>Opened my eyes<br \/>\nIncredible sight<br \/>\nMind in the cell<br \/>\nBroke the heart<\/p>\n<p>Why did the mind<br \/>\nGo there for a safe<br \/>\nTo escape from the death<br \/>\nThat was the place<\/p>\n<p>It was not my choice<br \/>\nTime gave the prize<br \/>\nDarken days and nights<br \/>\nProlonged the life of death<\/p>\n<p>Once in away<br \/>\nFlash back to the past<br \/>\nI am not allowed<br \/>\nTo forget my pass<br \/>\n_________________________________<\/p>\n<p><em>Udaya R.
