The Syrian Electronic Army has claimed responsibility for hacking the U.S. Army\u2019s website to show that both the Pentagon and the CIA are supporting ISIS to topple Assad.<\/em><\/p>\n

8 Jun 2015 – <\/em>The hacker group posted a screenshot on Twitter showing Army.mil defaced with pop-up messages stating \u201cYour commanders admit they are training the people they have sent you to die fighting!\u201d and \u201cStop training the terrorists!\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

The SEA is shedding light on a largely open secret: the U.S. and other NATO nations are arming and funding ISIS to topple Syrian president Bashir al-Assad, who stands in the way of a critical natural gas pipeline that would depose Russia as Europe\u2019s primary source of energy.<\/p>\n

The link between ISIS and the U.S. was revealed in a declassified U.S. government document<\/a> obtained by Judical Watch which stated that \u201cthe Salafist [sic], the Muslim Brotherhood, and AQI [al-Qaeda in Iraq] are the major forces driving the insurgency in Syria,\u201d and that \u201cthe West, Gulf countries, and Turkey support [this] opposition\u201d while Russia, China and Iran \u201csupport the [Assad] regime.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe secret Pentagon document thus provides extraordinary confirmation that the U.S.-led coalition currently fighting ISIS, had three years ago welcomed the emergence of an extremist \u2018Salafist Principality\u2019 [radical Islamic movement] in the region as a way to undermine Assad,\u201d investigative journalist Nafeez Ahmed explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In other words, the West is backing ISIS to destabilize the Middle East, particularly Syria for the aforementioned reasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe revelations contradict the official line of Western government on their policies in Syria, and raise disturbing questions about secret Western support for violent extremists abroad, while using the burgeoning threat of terror to justify excessive mass surveillance and crackdowns on civil liberties at home,\u201d Ahmed added.<\/p>\n

Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton also admitted the U.S. is responsible for al-Qaeda and later ISIS.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026The United States had \u2013 to be fair \u2013 we had helped create the problem we\u2019re now fighting,\u201d she said in an interview with Fox anchor Greta Van Susteren. \u201cWhen the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, we had this brilliant idea we were going to come to Pakistan and create a force on Mujahideen, equip them with Stinger missiles and everything else to go after the Soviets inside Afghanistan.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNow you look back [and] the people we\u2019re fighting today, we were supporting in the fight against the Soviets,\u201d Clinton added.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Turkey, a member of NATO and a U.S. ally, was caught last January shipping missiles to al-Qaeda and ISIS<\/a> via Syria-bound trucks operated by the country\u2019s intelligence agency with the full support of Turkey\u2019s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.<\/p>\n

Turkey\u2019s Gendarmerie General Command, a branch of the Turkish Armed Forces, took issue with the Turkish government arming Islamic extremists fighting in the Syrian Civil War and ordered a search of suspicious-looking trucks traveling from Turkey to Syria.<\/p>\n

After searching three of the trucks, the GGC discovered 45 to 55 missiles or rockets, 30 to 40 crates of ammunition, including mortar rounds, and Douchka anti-aircraft ammunition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe trucks were carrying weapons and supplies to the al-Qaeda terror organization,\u201d the GGC\u2019s report stated<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But Davutoglu banned media from reporting on the incident and also removed public prosecutor Aziz Takei from office for ordering the search.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the 13 soldiers involved in the search were charged with espionage and are facing 20-year prison terms.<\/p>\n

\u201cThough the scandal is tearing the country apart, the government opted for its favorite tactic of covering it up,\u201d Turkish journalist Fehim Ta\u015ftekin reported<\/a>. \u201cA court in Adana banned written, visual and Internet media outlets from any reporting and commenting on the stopping of the trucks and the search.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll online content about the incident has been deleted.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Turkish government was also known to be training ISIS militants<\/a> to fight in Syria.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026After training in Turkey, thousands of ISIS fighters went to Iraq by way of Syria to join the effort to establish an Islamic caliphate subject to strict Islamic law, or Shariah,\u201d Aaron Klein of WND<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n
