She won the 1976 Nobel Peace Prize for her work for peace in Northern Ireland. She lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She is the Abbot of the 6<sup>th<\/sup> century <\/em><em>Monastery of Saint Jacques the Mutilated<\/em><em> in Qara, Syria<\/em><em>, restored by her but destroyed recently by invading mercenary jihadists fighting the Syrian government.
