I wonder<br \/>\nThere be No border<br \/>\nBetween India and Pakistan<br \/>\nSo that people of two nations<br \/>\nLive as brothers<br \/>\nAs their fathers<br \/>\nAnd fight not like children<br \/>\nHere, there, now and then<\/p>\n<p>Look at the European nations<br \/>\nAfter centuries of dire relations<br \/>\nBorders how they made nominal<br \/>\nOr see between India and Nepal<br \/>\nWhy can\u2019t then it happen?<br \/>\nBetween India and Pakistan<br \/>\nBut it will certainly happen<br \/>\nIf not today, tomorrow then<\/p>\n<p>As there is no way out for anyone<br \/>\nNeither for that side nor this one<br \/>\nBut it should rather happen today<br \/>\nSo that no one be killed in dismay<br \/>\nNeither a civilian nor a soldier<br \/>\nOn this or that side of border<br \/>\nEven a dreaded terrorist or a Kafir<br \/>\nWhat they proudly call each other<\/p>\n<p>Why can\u2019t the two come out of box<br \/>\nOf Hindu-Muslim, Temple-Mosque<br \/>\nAnd lay a new foundation<br \/>\nFor the coming generations<br \/>\nWhile forgetting all old scars<br \/>\nOf dirty, ugly and cruel wars<br \/>\nThat plundered, ruined both<br \/>\nAnd divided region Asia South<\/p>\n<p>Have we found peace 1947 aftermath?<br \/>\nSo are we walking on the same path?<br \/>\nStop oh brothers, please stop<br \/>\nKeep, think of alternatives, atop<br \/>\nAnd help resume relations derailed<br \/>\nBridge gaps, allow peace to prevail<br \/>\nBe a good Muslim or a good Hindu<br \/>\nBut when will my dream come true<\/p>\n<p>When a person from Delhi to Lahore<br \/>\nTravel on bike as from Nagpur to Indore<br \/>\nSometimes, I wonder<br \/>\nThere be NO border<br \/>\n__________________________________<\/p>\n<p><em>Dr. M.
