In case the Goyim cannot find a purpose in their life,\u00a0Israeli\u00a0senior Sephardi Rabbi Ovadia Yosef\u00a0is there to help them out. \u00a0In his\u00a0Saturday sermon<\/a> Rabbi Yosef revealed that\u00a0the sole purpose of Gentiles\u00a0is to serve Jews.\u2028\u201cGoyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0Rabbi was also kind enough to provide the Goyim with some precise tasks.\u00a0\u201cWhy are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat.\u2028That is why gentiles were created.\u201d<\/p>\n

I guess that it is about time the friends of Israel in Western politics started\u00a0to\u00a0fully comprehend\u00a0their role in our Judified universe\u00a0—\u00a0AIPAC and the Conservatives\u2019\u00a0Friends of Israel\u00a0do indeed,\u00a0have a crucial function\u00a0:\u00a0They are there to\u00a0\u2018help\u2019\u00a0our politicians grasp why they \u2018were created\u2019.<\/p>\n

And their role is, apparently, to \u2018serve the Jews,\u2019 as the Chief Rabbi describes it\u00a0so eloquently.<\/p>\n

But there is a further and\u00a0even\u00a0much more sinister meaning to Rabbi Yosef\u2019s sermon:\u00a0according to the Rabbi,\u00a0the Goyim will \u2018work\u2019 hard, they will \u2018plow\u2019 and \u2018reap\u2019 while the Jew \u2018sits like an effendi (master)\u2019 and \u2018eats\u2019. In just a few words Rabbi Yossef expresses the depth of Judaic contempt towards labour.<\/p>\n

The senior Rabbi provides us with a\u00a0devastating glimpse into the Judaic alienation from these aspects of\u00a0the\u00a0human condition and human experience. In an\u00a0unequivocal\u00a0manner,\u00a0Rabbi Yosef depicts a clear dichotomy: Jews are the master race and the Goyim are nothing but a work force. The\u00a0Goyim are there to sweat and struggle while the Jew is \u2018sitting\u2019\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and \u2018eating\u2019. I guess that Rabbi Yossef has managed, in just a few words, to portray the intrinsic relationships between Judaism and Capitalism.<\/p>\n

But in fact, Rabbi Yossef didn\u2019t invent anything\u00a0new here —\u00a0his Saturday sermon sounds familiar enough to me. Karl Marx in his paper\u00a0On The Jewish Question<\/a>, identified\u00a0aspects of\u00a0Jewish ideology at the heart of\u00a0Capitalism:\u00a0\u201cIt is mankind (both Christians and Jews) that needs to emancipate itself from Judaism\u201d Marx wrote.<\/p>\n

Marx managed to identify an inclination towards exploitation at the heart of Jewish culture.<\/p>\n

However, being a humanist, Marx wanted to believe that mankind (Jews and others) could\u00a0overcome this tendency. Many early Zionists\u00a0too,\u00a0were also convinced that in Zion, Jews would liberate themselves and\u00a0eventually\u00a0become a nation\u00a0like other nations,through productivity and labour.<\/p>\n

Seemingly\u00a0though, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef is not that impressed with either Marx,\u00a0or\u00a0some of the ideals within\u00a0the early Zionist dream:\u00a0\u00a0Rabbi Yossef is brave (or foolish) enough to sketch the inherent bond between Jewish culture and Capital.<\/p>\n

The only question that is still open is, for\u00a0how long\u00a0can\u00a0the rest of humanity tolerate that kind of Rabbinical arrogance?<\/p>\n
