Paige<br \/>\nfor having written and disseminated an extraordinary, inspiring page:<\/p>\n<p>In 2002 he launched more than a book: a transformative\u00a0Nonkilling Age<br \/>\nwhich has made\u00a0 that visionary\u00a0be\u00a0 remembered as\u00a0a peacebuilding sage<\/p>\n<p>In Honolulu, Hawaii, the Center for Global\u00a0Nonkilling\u00a0he founded<br \/>\nA far-sighted initiative on his seminal concept\u00a0strongly\u00a0grounded<\/p>\n<p>Physically, Glenn Paige is no longer here<br \/>\nsince the early morning of January 22, this year<\/p>\n<p>Dignihumanizingly , his\u00a0legacy \u00a0will always be here:<br \/>\nIn our global efforts, Killing and Violence let`s never fear!<br \/>\n_________________________________________<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Glenn-Paige.jpg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-86027\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Glenn-Paige-150x150.jpg\" width=\"100\" height=\"75\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Glenn-Paige-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Glenn-Paige.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 100px) 100vw, 100px\" \/><\/a><em>Glenn Durland Paige<\/em><em> was an American political scientist, member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/\" >TRANSCEND Network for Peace, Development and Environment<\/a>, Professor Emeritus of political science at the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/University_of_Hawai%E2%80%98i\" >University of Hawai\u2018i<\/a>, and Chair of the Governing Council of the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Center_for_Global_Nonkilling\" >Center for Global Nonkilling<\/a>. Paige was known for developing the concept of nonkilling, his studies on political leadership, and the study of international politics from the decision-making perspective with a case study of President Harry S. Truman&#8217;s decision to involve the United States in the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Korean_War\" >Korean War<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/francisco-gomes-de-matos.jpeg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-84401\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/francisco-gomes-de-matos.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" \/><\/a>Francisco Gomes de Matos, Ph.D. is an applied peace linguist from Recife, Brazil. He has degrees in Languages, Law, and Linguistics. He is Professor Emeritus at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco where he is active in the Dom H\u00e9lder Camara Human Rights Commission. He is one of the pioneers in Linguistic Rights (author of 1984 <\/em>Plea for a Universal Declaration of Linguistic Rights)<em> and in the emerging area of Peace Linguistics.
