The financial media present the \u2018right\u2019s\u2019 socially regressive policies and strategies as \u2018reforms\u2019, a euphemism for the re-concentration of wealth, profits and property into the hands of foreign and domestic oligarchs.<\/p>\n

Leftwing intellectuals and journalists paint an image of socio-economic transformations under Latin America\u2019s \u2018left\u2019 regimes where \u2018the people\u2019 take power, income is redistributed and growth flourishes.<\/p>\n
