Meanwhile, countries like Australia and the UK also have airport biometrics programs rolling out, with Australia seeking to make it a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/2017\/01\/australia-biometrics-aiports.html\" >requirement nationwide by 2020<\/a>. The UK has gone even one step further and has been testing a system to be used <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/2017\/07\/facial-recognition-id-planes-trains.html\" >on trains<\/a> as well, also with a target date somewhere around 2020.<\/p>\n<p>People have been acclimatized to biometric ID in various forms, with increasing frequency in the areas of banking and personal computing, but only now is it being rolled out into the wider world. In some cases, the use of facial recognition for <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/2016\/05\/u-s-senator-calls-for-federal-investigation-of-billboards-spying-on-the-public.html\" >targeted advertising<\/a> and even to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/2015\/11\/hidden-cameras-measure-and-manipulate-political-views-neuropolitics.html\" >monitor political views<\/a> and for <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/2017\/05\/russian-company-pre-crime-facial-recognition-surveillance.html\" >pre-crime policing<\/a> has been done in public spaces without any consent whatsoever.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/massprivatei.blogspot.com\/2017\/08\/facial-recognition-being-used-at.html\" >According to <em>MassPrivateI<\/em><\/a>, a company called Zenus is at the forefront of spreading facial recognition even wider into conferences and events. It heralds the next step toward increasingly pervasive biometric ID requirements to function in modern society.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/zenus-biometrics.com\/\" >Zenus<\/a>\u00a0a startup company based in Texas, claims their facial recognition software can speed up check-ins at conferences and events.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Attendees have registered for a conference ahead of time, providing pertinent personal information and uploading a photo. On-site at the conference, that person steps up to a device\u2014usually a tablet\u2014where a camera scans the person\u2019s face, using the image to call up her information and completing the check-in process digitally.\u00a0<\/em> (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.xconomy.com\/texas\/2017\/07\/27\/houstons-zenus-brings-facial-recognition-software-to-event-check-insv\/\" >Source<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>At the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/zenus-biometrics.com\/\" >Zenus website<\/a> we find the video below, which makes a direct appeal to convenience and security by databasing attendees with facial recognition as well as social media log-ins, illustrating how the virtual world and the real are melding into one and the same thing.<\/p>\n<p>httpv:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4XaW7mnC22M<\/p>\n<p>Step by step, people are being transformed into digital organisms made easier for scanning and processing.
