{"id":97228,"date":"2017-08-21T12:00:17","date_gmt":"2017-08-21T11:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/?p=97228"},"modified":"2017-08-19T17:42:30","modified_gmt":"2017-08-19T16:42:30","slug":"stop-the-hate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/2017\/08\/stop-the-hate\/","title":{"rendered":"Stop the Hate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stop the racism, stop the hate<br \/>\nStart with your heart \u2013 never too late<\/p>\n<p>At a world in turmoil we sadly wonder<br \/>\nOur duty and responsibility we ponder<\/p>\n<p>Through experience we know<br \/>\nLife is the energy good or bad that flow<\/p>\n<p>Until our death when we are no more<br \/>\nAnd only our deeds tell our lore<\/p>\n<p>Some of us were taught at schools<br \/>\nTo remember the golden rules<\/p>\n<p>Not only that we do to others what we hope for ourselves<br \/>\nBut that there is a price or a prize for acts themselves<\/p>\n<p>That everything we do we get back<br \/>\nA good or a bad deed even a smile or a crack<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod give them what they wish for me\u201d<br \/>\nactually, what I do comes back to me<\/p>\n<p>what I did yesterday<br \/>\ncomes back to me today<\/p>\n<p>You cannot make war for peace and security<br \/>\nAny more than you can have sex for virginity<\/p>\n<p>Stop the racism, stop the hate<br \/>\nStart with your heart \u2013 never too late<\/p>\n<p>Positive energy begets positive<br \/>\nSelfish thought begets negative<\/p>\n<p>Choose Justice, kindness, and humanism<br \/>\nnot Cruelty, greed, and racism<\/p>\n<p>You can\u2019t take money to your grave<br \/>\nOnly bad deeds and good deeds left to save<\/p>\n<p>Let this simple fact not get blurred<br \/>\nSave a child, a plant, a friend, or a bird<\/p>\n<p>Worry about your spirit,<br \/>\nOf all pollution do clear it<\/p>\n<p>The tranquil is not the hawk but the dove<br \/>\nYou cannot conquer the hate except by the love<\/p>\n<p>Take a deep breath in and gently breathe out<br \/>\nMeditate and you will find that winning route<\/p>\n<p>Ponder how the soft conquers the hard<br \/>\nAnd why the evil deeds are marred<\/p>\n<p>The roads of the wise like the water steams<br \/>\nLow and soft but stones dissipate in the way like dreams<\/p>\n<p>The key is time which is patience realized<br \/>\nThe door is kindness we must have utilized<\/p>\n<p>Stop the racism, stop the hate<br \/>\nStart with your heart \u2013 never too late<\/p>\n<p><em>19\/8\/2017<\/em><\/p>\n<p>_________________________________________<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Mazin-Qumsiyeh.jpg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-67527\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Mazin-Qumsiyeh.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"112\" \/><\/a><em>Mazin Qumsiyeh, associate professor of genetics and director of cytogenetic services at Yale University School of Medicine, is founder and president of the Holy Land Conservation Foundation and ex-president of the Middle East Genetics Association.
