25 Aug 2017 – <\/em>This week, President Donald Trump, just like his predecessor Obama, promised to continue the utterly corrupt failure of a brutal occupation that is Afghanistan\u2014despite running on a campaign to end it. For decades, the United States has been subsidizing\u2014to the tune of billions of US tax dollars\u2014failed projects, infrastructure, military, police, and yes, even terrorism. Yet Afghanistan is worse off today than they were before the government lied to Americans, claiming they were responsible for 9\/11 instead of\u00a0Saudi Arabia.<\/a><\/p>\n

In a recent speech on the state of the Afghanistan quagmire, Congressman Thomas Massie (R) KY, exposed some hard truths that very few people in Washington are courageous enough to address. While most politicians cheered Trump\u2019s insane decision to increase US presence in Afghanistan this week, Massie Blew the lid off of it.<\/p>\n

For years, Massie has pointed out that the US has blown billions of dollars on failed projects alone. As of last year, the number of failed projects totaled over\u00a0100 billion.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

To put this number in perspective, the entire amount of money the United States allocates to spend on rebuilding America\u2019s crumbling highways every year is less than half of what it\u2019s blown on failed projects alone in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
