My country is committing pogroms
\nPogroms against Rohingyas.<\/p>\n

I knew this day would come.\u00a0 And it did come sooner!<\/p>\n

Wait! Rohingyas don’t exist.<\/p>\n

The victims didn’t exist.\u00a0 They don’t exist.
\nAnd they will not exist – as who they say they are.<\/p>\n

For the perpetrators, the victims never exist – not as humans.<\/p>\n

We are proud Myanmar. \u00a0 We don’t care about your pressure.<\/p>\n

We have Security Council on our side.<\/p>\n

Yes, Blanket Impunity.<\/p>\n

Our Commander-in-Chief says, “Finish the unfinished business” from 1942.
\nGeneral Min Aung Hlaing wants the land, but not the inhabitants.<\/p>\n

So now we slaughter these half-starved creatures,
\nwho insist on calling themselves Rohingyas<\/p>\n

Wave after wave,
\nKillers come,
\nArsonists come,
\nRapists come,
\nSoldiers come,
\nPolice come,
\nRakhines come.<\/p>\n

Then they slit girls’ throat,
\nThey rape women, some barely teens.
\nThey slaughter pregnant mothers,
\nThey execute husbands,
\nThey burn old men alive, who can barely walk.
\nSpare infants? Who would look after these poor creatures.
\nSend them to Allah.<\/p>\n

So tell the survivors.<\/p>\n

Not just one, two, three…
\nThousands of survivors who tell eyewitness tales,
\nTales of horror, tales of inhumanity<\/p>\n

The crimes of barbarity<\/p>\n

No, No, We Myanmar are engaged in ‘self-defence’.<\/p>\n

This is all about \u201cnational security”.
\nAgainst these extremists.
\nAgainst these terrorists.<\/p>\n

And repeat pattern of killing, arson, rape, expulsion – by the thousands
\nDecade after decade, they calibrate the rate, the rate of their kills
\nThe perpetrators tell tales – “illegal immigration” “communal violence” “colonial-unfinished-business” “neo-Balkan transitional issue\u201d …<\/p>\n

Myanmar’s narratives keep changing
\nDon’t you worry, people.
\nThe world will come around.<\/p>\n

Pogroms keep on coming – arson, rape, pillage, exodus, etc.<\/p>\n

Decade after decade, four to be exact.<\/p>\n

The World’s governments have known this for decades.
\nThe United Nations have known this for decades.<\/p>\n

They all hold their noses
\nas they smell the blood of the slaughtered.<\/p>\n

They all hear nothing
\nas toddlers cry, raped mothers scream, old men beg for mercy.<\/p>\n

They look, but they don’t see
\nCharred babies, debilitated men, mutilated corpses in Rakhine mud<\/p>\n

Without a prick on their conscience, men and women of power
\nthey stand up and observe a moment of silence, in Live cast ceremonies – from New York, Geneva, Paris, Washington,<\/p>\n

How sad the victims of past pogroms have perished
\n200 million in 100 years.<\/p>\n

Stand up! Say one more time!
\nNEVER AGAIN!<\/p>\n

Well, Rohingyas are a different case, potential “security concerns”,<\/p>\n

This ain’t Auschwitz.
\nThis ain’t Rwanda.
\nThis ain’t Srebrenica.<\/p>\n

Most are Fake News, anyway.<\/p>\n

Moderation, Buddhist Leaders.
\nRestraints in genocide, the World Leaders must advise.
\nJust don’t accelerate Myanmar pogroms
\nLest you invite “Muslim terror”.<\/p>\n

Carry on with your “unfinished business” of the slow genocide.
\nCall it what you will, communal or self-defence.<\/p>\n

But just don’t speed it up.
\n270,000 fleeing\u00a0in 2 weeks\u00a0is too fast
\nfor UN to ignore.<\/p>\n
