In 1985, I was amazed by the US inability to learn from the Vietnam disaster about limits to military approaches to politics, and, looking for something deeper than rationality, came up with such Deep Culture concepts as DMA – the Dualism-Manicheism-Armageddon syndrome of archetypes. I am now also working on Deep Nature, a fascinating topic.
