Back in 1967… In Eastern Europe

JOKE OF THE WEEK, 22 Aug 2011

Dietrich Fischer – TRANSCEND Media Service

Czechoslovakia announced that it was going to create a ministry of the Navy.
Brezhnev protested, “You don’t even have a coast line!”
Czechoslovakia replied, “Why is that a problem? You also have a ministry of justice.”

***************

An Englishman, a Frenchman and a Soviet citizen stand in front of a painting of Adam and Eve and argue what nationality they were.
The Englishman argues they must be English, because Adam is such a gentleman and shares the last apple with Eve.
The Frenchman argues that they must be French, because Adam seduces the woman easily.
The Soviet insists they must be from the Soviet Union, because they walk around naked, eat half an apple and think they are in paradise.

One Response to “Back in 1967… In Eastern Europe”

  1. satoshi says:

Regarding the above mentioned jokes, think as below.

    – North Korea’s official name is “Democratic” People’s Republic of Korea.

    – Japan is no longer an empire but, in the English language, the king of Japan is still called the “Emperor” of Japan.

    – George W. Bush said that he promoted democracy for Iraq, but Saddam Hussein said that Iraq was the most democratic country in the world because his government provided his people with the maximum freedom to support his government.

    – Whether Adam and Eve were citizens of England or of France, this discussion assumes that these nation-states existed before Adam and Eve. But, without even the first human beings, who established England and France?

    – The Soviet Union was established in 1917. If Adam and Eve were from the Soviet Union, and if they were born in 1917, perhaps they are still alive. If so, they must be 94 years old this year. Two questions as follows: 1) Do they receive the pension from Russia now if they are alive? 2) Was Jesus Christ born before Adam and Eve, the first human beings?

Anyhow, thank you very much, editor of TMS, for preparing this outstanding website every week!
