President Carter was worried about his prospects for reelection. Two Egyptian consultants offered their services to help prepare an effective campaign for him, and he was sufficiently impressed with their proposals and promises that he hired them. Then he got busy with other government business and sort of forgot about the consultants.
One day, they showed up in the oval office and informed him, “Mr. President, we have good news. You have just been reelected with 99.3 percent of the votes!”
