Are You Awake?

Victimization, persecution, corruption, detestation,
Deforestation, degradation, alienation.
Are you awake? Governed by distractions,
Make a distinction, to stop these factions.
Morally ambiguous. Too many dissensions.
Hurricanes and tsunamis.
Desperate cries, crimes of servitude.
Slaved and alone.
Is slavery fine?
Are you awake?
Hatred, violence, revulsion, aversion, apprehension.
Revulsion and coercion.
Compromised dreams deny the gift of the receiver
But you can receive ?
Clean air some can only perceive.
Capitalism, antagonism, chauvinism and repulsion continue.
Harassment, eternal war of pawns on checkerboard,
Only allowing our masters to move us.
Or try to degrade us.
Listen to the ancient sages,
Dispensing teachings that never age.
No more intellectual stagnation.
Oppression, racism, radicalism, resentment, extremism,
Fanaticism, intimidation, discrimination, trepidation
Are you awake?
Desperate cries,
Too much crime.
Draw us into this power game.
Conspiracy, treachery, enmity, duplicity, animosity.
Acrimony, hostility, xenophobia, paranoia.
Are you awake?
Rewire and tend to the fire
Find that stable position.
Be that motivation, be that inspiration
Time to integrate,
Incinerate disbelief.
Shake the heavens,
Use your common sense.
You have gifts to dispense!
Leaving a permanent mark,
When we do, we will be worthy.
That’s what it means to be awake.
