Dear Vandana! How she can remain positive after the decades of her work and the present situation which if anything is worse amazes me. I met her in Sydney at a Freedom from Hunger conference about 40 years ago and have read so many of her books and articles. If only more people would take notice, we would all be so much better off. The Indian “biggest democracy in the world” is in a terrible way with the present government persecuting the poor and taking over the land needed for small farmers to survive. Arundhati Roy is also a wonderful Indian activist, and their ideas need to be taken seriously.
