Xinhua – Wall Street Journal

China will host a meeting of the BRIC countries of Brazil, Russia, India and China on April 14 2011, China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency reported, citing Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu.

Chinese President Hu Jintao will chair the meeting in Sanya, in China’s southern island province of Hainan, the report cited her as saying.

Jiang last year said China had agreed with the other BRIC countries to include South Africa in the group and that it had invited South Africa to the group’s meeting in China.
