A Sing-Along Anthem for Mahatma Gandhi’s Birth Anniversary

This anthem celebrates Mahatma Gandhi and his much-quoted response to young people unhappy with the status quo: “You be the change you want to see.” A challenging dictum and a ‘decisive choice’ for anyone yearning to improve society on the principles of truth, peace, justice, equality.


Peter Gonsalves is a priest and Salesian of Don Bosco from Mumbai, India. He is a member of SIGNIS, a world association of Catholic communicators and has Masters Degrees in Philosophy (Jnanadeepa Vidyapeeth, Pune, 1982), Journalism and Communication (Symbiosis, Pune, 1993) and Media Education (British Film Institute, London, 2003). In 2007 he completed his PhD in Communication at Salesian Pontifical University, Rome, where he has taught ‘History of Media’, ‘Media Education’, ‘Peace Communication’, and is currently in charge of the doctoral program of the Faculty of the Sciences of Communication where he served as Dean in 2015-2018.
