Iran: 100 Years of Foreign Interference

Swiss Policy Research - TRANSCEND Media Service
From the British invasion of neutral Persia during both WWI and WWII; to the CIA-directed overthrow of the first democratically elected Iranian Prime Minister in 1953 due to oil interests; to the equally CIA-backed installation of Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979 (to prevent a Communist takeover, as had happened in neighboring Afghanistan); to the Israeli-directed “October Surprise” to replace Carter with compliant Hollywood actor Reagan as US President in 1980; to the sinister Iran-Contra affair and the covert Israeli arms supplies to Iran during the Iraq-Iran War of the 1980s (initiated by US asset Saddam Hussein); to the post-9/11 Zionist strategy of taking out “seven countries in five years” (“finishing off with Iran”) that destabilized the entire region from Libya to Afghanistan and flooded Europe with millions of African and Arab refugees; to the failed January 2026 CIA and Mossad-backed neo-monarchist insurgency that killed over 3,000 Iranian civilians and security forces; to the current Israeli-American military attack: over 100 years of foreign interference in Iran.
