Alas–this is the way too much of this world operates now!

The fat mouse–a banker, a corporate executive, etc.–holds the poor, starving mouse in front of the fat cat he/it controls. The fat cat could be what used to be called the “military-industrial complex,” and is often called the “military-surveillance complex” now. The military component is obvious. The cat acts instinctively. Naked, physical power is often controlled by more clever, more devious powers-behind-the-throne. This simple cartoon works on various levels… and it’s a sad commentary on our contemporary world!
