Johan Galtung (24 Oct 1930 – 17 Feb 2024), the “Father of Peace and Conflict Studies,” was a Norwegian sociologist and mathematician who taught around the world, helped found many institutions to build peace, and been honored with the Right Livelihood Award among many others. He served on the advisory board of Envision Peace Museum.
