Einstein absolutely venerated Gandhi. When Einstein moved to Princeton in 1935, from Berlin, he added Gandhi to his three portraits: Newton, Faraday and Clerk Maxwell. He said that the Mahatma was the “greatest man of our age. Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth”.
