Two incidents that changed the course of history of human rights movement and campaigns: (1) the eviction of Mohandas Gandhi from the train at Pietermaritzburg in South Africa (1893) and (2) Mrs. Rosa Parks’ stout refusal to vacate a seat she had occupied in a public bus in Montgomery in Alabama, USA (1956).
