The Oldest Profession

A surgeon, an engineer and an economist were arguing which was the oldest profession. The surgeon said, "On the seventh day of creation, God removed a rib from Adam’s body to create Eve. This is obviously surgery, so my profession is the oldest."  The engineer argued, "But on the first day of creation, God built the universe out of chaos. This is a magnificent engineering task, so my profession is the oldest." Then the economist asked, "And who do you believe created the chaos in the first place?"
