When President Nixon proposed voluntary restraints on wage and price increases to fight inflation, John Kenneth Galbraith mocked, "I hope the next step will be voluntary taxes.  I will be the first not to pay them."

John Kenneth Galbraith called Reaganomics "horse and sparrow economics": If you feed enough oats to the horses, some of it will be dropped on the roads for the sparrows.

Having email is like coming home from a long day at the office and finding 70 people in the kitchen waiting to talk with you.
