A girl used to tell everyone, “I am the daughter of Dr. Smith.” Her mother thought this was too pretentious and she told her daughter, “Simply say, ‘I am Ursula Smith.'” The next day, a colleague of her father met the girl on the street and asked her, “Are you the daughter of Dr. Smith?” She replied, “I always thought so, but my mother says it is not so.”
