Pray for War

Tom Greening – TRANSCEND Media Service

Our heroes need good wars to fight,
for that is their God-given right.
Don’t let these brave guys be deprived—
the Afghan war should be revived.
Our growing boys deserve the chance
to savor war’s renowned romance.
Don’t bring them home—we still might win.
If not, let’s some new war begin.
Please pray these wars will never cease—
may God protect us from pale peace.
Apology: The bribe offered by the military-industrial complex to write this was too big to refuse.

Tom Greening: “I engage in five professional activities:
Faculty Member at Saybrook University
Private Practice of Psychotherapy
Clinical Professor of Psychology, UCLA
International Editor of the Journal of Humanistic Psychology
Writing (Poetry).”

    Dear Tom,
So far I much appreciated your being the editor of the Humanistic Psychology Journal and faculty at Saybrook, but only now I truly realize your gift for poetry and humor – thank you for making me laugh, so much needed in our times..
Having TRANSCEND honor you by publishing your poem is well deserved.
    love, peace, respect,
