M. Ashaq Raza (& Lao-Tse) – TRANSCEND Media Service

If you can make peace in the heart
You can make peace in the home

If you can make peace in the home
You can make peace between neighbours

If you can make peace between neighbours
You can make peace in the cities

If you can make peace in the cities
You can make peace in the nations

If you can make peace in the nations
You can make peace in the world

N.B: Written in response to a beautiful peace prayer nicely composed by, and of course as a tribute to, Lao Tzu (Lao-Tse), a Chinese philosopher (6th Century B.C.) that still needs to reach the hearts of everybody.

If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.

If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.

If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.

If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.

If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.

– – Lao Tzu
