Lawyer Good Samaritan

One afternoon a wealthy lawyer was riding in his limousine through the country-side when he saw a man along the roadside eating grass. Disturbed, he ordered his driver to stop and got out of his car.

He asked the man “What are you doing here?” “I am too poor to buy food, so I have to eat grass,” the man replied. “Come with me, I’ll feed you”, the lawyer offered. “But sir, I have a wife and two children with me. They are over there, under that tree also eating grass.” “Bring them along,” the lawyer replied. The man explained with embarrassment, “Actually, I also have a friend who has a wife and six children, and they are all eating grass.” The lawyer said, “Bring them along, too. I will feed you all.”

They all entered the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limousine was. Once underway, one of the poor men turned to the lawyer and said, “Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for feeding us all.”

The lawyer replied, “Glad to do it. You’ll really love it at my place; my grass is almost one foot tall!”
