A couple heard a psychologist explain that if one member of a family changes, the whole family system would change as a result, but the only person over which we have control is ourselves, we cannot change our partner.
The wife leaned over and whispered to her husband,
“You see, that is exactly what I always told you: You cannot ask me to change, you have to change yourself!”
