Feel Her Beauty

Dr Usha Roopnarain – TRANSCEND Media Service

Poem inspired by the Giriraj Govardhan Hill near Vrindavan in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India.

There is something beautiful about the tapestry of nature
Woven over the earth like the silk Isfahan rug
Calm, peaceful, serene,
while the world is in a frantic search of medication.
The powerful are first in line, waiting to drink the largest portion.
There is no one to hug, so it’s FINALLY time.
To hug nature and feel her immense beauty.
Calm, peaceful, serene.
Capitalism, corruption, crime- YOU will be dealt with for your cruelty.
Sadly, YOU have forgotten God’s beauty!

Thank you to OUR Creator.
Time to sip God’s beauty bit by bit.
The earth is resting, let’s say a prayer.
No troubled waters,
Cows dozing in the meadows.
One can hear the chirping of the sparrows.
Only souls filled with anxiety and panic
There are no crowds wandering.
Only Powerful voices of vaccines plundering.
Time to listen to the whispers of peace from nature.
Drink from God’s beauty now, there will be NO time later.
