Freedom

Dr Usha Roopnarain – TRANSCEND Media Service
Blood flowed through their veins.
Shackled and jailed for freedom.
Exploited, oppressed, and subjugated.
Indian heroes and heroines made a sacrifice.
To save their land which was once paradise.
They were relentless for freedom.
They wanted to tear down foreign rule,
By nonviolence and NO military tool.
Nonviolence is the way.
All for the Motherland.
Her children fought.
The lesson of freedom must be taught.
