22 Jun 2026 – The International Criminal Court (ICC) is the key accountability mechanism of the international criminal law system; it deals with the worst wrongs, including war crimes and crimes against humanity, that states and non-state entities inflict on civilian populations. Neither Israel nor the US signed the Rome Statute treaty which established the ICC but that hasn’t stopped them from interfering with the court.
