Dear TMS Members, Contributors, Subscribers, Writers and Readers,
As you may have noticed, the Weekly Digest has not appeared for some three weeks, due to my worsening and unavoidable health issues. Nevertheless, the Editorial Committee and I are determined to continue providing you with a peace journalism that combines careful, honest analysis with an over-arching solutions-oriented component.
To that end, TMS is in the process of transitioning to Substack. We will let you know as soon as the new Substack page is launched—hopefully next week–and about subscriptions.

I’m very sorry to read of your “health issues.” I have missed reading the insightful work at TMC for these past 3 weeks. Meeting you with Yoko was one of the highlights of our European journey a few years ago. TMC has shone with your guidance and wisdom. We hope you will have all the help and care you need….

Dear Antonio, soul brother
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your deeply dedicated work over the decades. I am sure TMS subscribers agree – and you should feel very proud and satisfied that you did all you could, all !
I have known for a long time about your health problems and your more or less constant up-and-down pain – and your pulling through one huge weekly dispatch after the other.
I can only wish you all the best – and that we keep in touch. My big-big “Thank you” – once again.
Further, it is a very good idea to migrate TMS to Substack and preserve the existing site as an archive. One, TMS will be operating in a new environment and new people will see what we publish on Substack; two, Substack is in serious need of some true peace input – filled as it is with more of less military/war oriented short-term and narrow-spaced geopolitical commentarism/punditry devoid of the question that intellectuals ought to focus on: What can be done? How do we create a better world? So Substack will be come a better place, too.
Peace research and peace politics – of course in Johan Galtung’s spirit – but also other eminent people’s – will always be on the move and never see the end, always something to improve. You moved it and we are now moving on…
