An exciting and much needed event is happening at Trafalgar Square on Saturday, 14 May 2016.

Peace Sign Movement and HUFUD (Humanity United for Universal Demilitarisation) are organising this historic event. Seeing Trafalgar Square full of people holding candles for peace, means that united we can send a very strong message to the world with our wish for ending all wars and conflicts.
We would all be grateful if you could share our event with your membership. We are sure they will be very happy participating in this Peace and apolitical event.
You are also welcome to nominate a speaker from your organisation and you will be able to distribute publicity material of it. We need the most PEACE supporters possible! We will give special light candles for the event!

Alberto Portugheis is a member of the TRANSCEND Network for Peace, Development and Environment. By profession a concert pianist and pedagogue www.apion.org.uk/tapsim, he is an active peace campaigner, whose anti-military stance earned him a nomination for the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize. As a result, Portugheis wrote, “Dear Ahed…..The Game of War and a Path to Peace” – a book that has received critical acclaim http://www.dearahed.co.uk. He contributes regularly to Twitter and has many followers.
