Relatório Técnico 2017 – Desde 2015 estão sendo veiculadas diversas notícias a respeito da extinção da RENCA como forma de atração de investimentos para o setor mineral. Criada em 1984, essa área de bloqueio está situada no limite dos estados do Pará e Amapá e apresenta área de 47 mil km2, equivalente ao estado do Espírito Santo.

26 Oct 2016 – The world’s biodiversity is declining at an alarming rate. Population sizes of vertebrate species have more than halved in little more than 40 years. The LPI, which measures trends in thousands of populations of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish across the globe shows a decline of 58 per cent between 1970 and 2012. If current trends continue, the decline could reach two-thirds by 2020.

The EU Regulation on Illegal Logging cleared its final legislative hurdle on Monday [18 Oct 2010], following the adoption of the proposed draft by the Council of Ministers, effectively issuing a ban on illegal timber. In July, the European Parliament overwhelmingly approved a crack down on illegal timber, voting 644-25 in favor of the legislation.
