28 Maggio 2026 – Elena Camino ci ha lasciati ieri, dopo una malattia che, nella sua grande riservatezza, non aveva comunicato che a pochi amici. La notizia è stata perciò una tristissima sorpresa per molti.

Anche perchè lei è stata presente e attiva fino all’ultimo. Solo poco tempo fa, il 22 aprile era ancora intervenuta ad Ivrea a un incontro su “Pianeta, ambiente e pace. Uno sguardo femminile”, un titolo che sintetizza i temi del suo costante impegno per una nonviolenza estesa a tutti gli esseri e alla Terra come sistema vivente che ci accoglie e ci sostiene.

Ci manchernno la sua presenza e la sua amicizia,  ci mancheranno i suoi articoli e i suoi contributi culturali, i suoi stimoli e il suo lavoro costante verso tutti noi, soci e socie, collaboratori e collaboratrici del Centro.

Sappiamo, però, che Elena continua ad essere con noi, nella compresenza, insieme a Nanni e a tutti gli altri amici e soci che in questi anni ci hanno lasciati.

La saluteremo ancora,  con affetto e riconoscenza,  domani, alle 15,30 al cimitero monumentale e la ricorderemo in un appuntamento a lei dedicato nei prossimi mesi. Potrebbe essere in occasione della presentazione dell’antologia degli scritti di Nanni, per la quale lei aveva scritto una commovente post-fazione, che è anche un po’ il suo ultimo saluto a tutti noi.
