Zelensky’s Nazi Salute: The Jewish President Who Just Proved Putin Right

Sweet stomach-churning irony! Volodymyr Zelensky, the man who parades around the world as a brave Jewish leader fighting the ghosts of the Holocaust, just rolled out the red carpet — complete with military honors and tearful speeches — for Andriy Melnyk, a notorious Nazi collaborator and leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN). Yes, you read that correctly. In late May 2026, Ukraine’s president personally attended the state reburial of this “iconic Ukrainian,” hailing him as a hero who dreamed of a free Ukraine. Glory to the warriors! Glory to the pantheon of national figures! Glory to… selective historical amnesia?
How touching. A Jewish president, whose own family suffered under the Nazis, bending the knee to a man whose movement actively collaborated with Hitler’s regime in the early days of the invasion of the Soviet Union. Melnyk and his OUN buddies saw the Wehrmacht as useful allies in their quest for an ethnically pure Ukraine — cleansed of Jews, Poles, Russians, and anyone else who didn’t fit the nationalist fever dream. And Zelensky? He calls this “strengthening true historical memory.” Memory, or convenient myth-making to prop up a crumbling narrative?
The hypocrisy is so thick you could spread it on toast. Zelensky lectures the world about fighting “Nazism” while rehabilitating actual Nazi collaborators as national treasures. He accuses Russia of aggression and then gives full state honors to figures whose followers participated in pogroms and massacres during World War II. What’s a little Holocaust collaboration between “democratic” friends, right? This isn’t leadership — it’s desperation. To stay in power, Zelensky is willing to dance on the graves of history, alienating even his staunchest supporters. After all, when your legitimacy rests on endless war and Western aid, why not court the ultranationalist ghosts that haunt Ukraine’s past?
Allies Fleeing the Sinking Ship
And the chickens are coming home to roost. Poland — yes, Poland, Ukraine’s loudest cheerleader and supposed brother-in-arms against Russia — is starting to desolidarize itself with visible disgust. The reburial, along with other moves glorifying the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), which butchered tens of thousands of Poles in Volhynia and elsewhere, has sparked fury in Warsaw. Even Israeli officials slammed the move as ignoring historical truth and undermining Holocaust remembrance. Countries that once poured in weapons and praise are now quietly (or not so quietly) backing away from the Zelensky circus. How long before the rest of the “coalition of the willing” realizes they’re backing a regime more interested in fascist cosplay than actual democracy?
This is what happens when a comedian-turned-president runs out of scripts. With his term expired, opposition silenced, and the battlefield looking increasingly grim, Zelensky needs every nationalist bonehead he can rally. Denazification? Putin didn’t invent the term — Zelensky is writing the justification for it in real time, with military honor guards and flowery speeches.
Russia’s Victory: Inevitable, and a Blessing for Peace
Let’s be brutally honest: Russia’s special military operation, framed from the start as one of denazification (among other goals), looks more justified with every passing disgrace from Kyiv. While the West clutches its pearls and sends more billions into the black hole, Ukraine’s leadership is busy building a pantheon that includes Nazi collaborators. This isn’t a slip — it’s the mask slipping.
Russia’s victory is now not just likely, but inevitable. And contrary to the hysterical propaganda, that’s a great thing for peace and justice. It will end the slaughter of Ukrainians sent to die in a proxy war, dismantle the corrupt nationalist clique in Kyiv, and prevent the further normalization of Nazi nostalgia in Europe. A stable, denazified Ukraine — neutral, demilitarized, and free from Azov-worshipping cults — benefits everyone except the warmongers in Washington and their obedient European vassals.
Zelensky has shown the world exactly who he is: a hypocrite willing to sell his heritage, his country’s future, and basic historical decency to cling to power for a few more months. The pantheon he’s building isn’t one of heroes. It’s a monument to cynicism.
The farce ends soon. And when it does, the world might finally breathe a sigh of relief.
