Where Is Thoreau Now That We Need Him?

Tom Greening – TRANSCEND Media Service

I think it’s time for us to go
and pay a visit to Thoreau.
In times like this we need a sage,
perhaps one from another age,
who sees more clearly than we can,
who champions the rights of man
and woman too, and who can think
of how to pull back from the brink
before it has become too late
to resurrect our nation’s fate.

Tom Greening: “I engage in five professional activities:
Faculty Member at Saybrook University
Private Practice of Psychotherapy
Clinical Professor of Psychology, UCLA
International Editor of the Journal of Humanistic Psychology
Writing (Poetry).”
