Happy New Year of 2015!

TMS PEACE JOURNALISM, 29 Dec 2014

Antonio C. S. Rosa, editor – TRANSCEND Media Service

I would like to take this opportunity—change of year, New Year—to wish you, esteemed TMS reader, happiness, prosperity, health, peace in 2015.

We work hard because we love our work and because we know that the above attributes don’t happen merely by wishful thinking but materialize from proactive, dedicated, loving work.

At TMS we deal with words. And words in any language or form ought to lead to worthy action for the benefit of other beings, the planet, and everything in it. I wish we are fulfilling this tenet in our Weekly Digests and with the Editorials signed by Prof. Johan Galtung–Peace Journalism in action.

It is my sincere desire that as we enter our 7th year we can count on your continued support, feedbacks and positive involvement. Peace is not an event but a process, a relation; let’s walk it together because there is strength in numbers. To turn violence to nonviolence requires a paradigmatic change in consciousness, both collective and individual.

“For apart from inquiry, apart from the praxis, individuals cannot be truly human. Knowledge emerges only through invention and re-invention, through the restless, impatient, continuing, hopeful inquiry human beings pursue in the world, with the world, and with each other.”
― Paulo Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed

I thank you in the name of the TRANSCEND membership, our contributors, associates, and of Johan Galtung, our founder and major source of inspiration, knowledge and insights with his legacy of 160+ books and thousands of papers on the universe of peace.

Spirituality, having to do with love, compassion, fraternity, conflict resolution and peace, transcends and even contradicts established organized religions.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  1. Dear Antonio,

It is exciting to read TMS each week, and I find the articles here as highly commendable and being oriented towards peace, justice and human dignity.

I believe TMS is way ahead of commercial news and its questionnable interests.

Thanks once again to you and the TMS team.

    Happy New Year!
