16 Mar 2019 – On 16 March 2003 in the Gaza Strip’s southern city of Rafah, Corrie stood before an Israeli bulldozer in hopes of stopping it from demolishing the home of a local Palestinian family. Corrie believed that her foreign features and blonde hair would deter the bulldozer – but she was wrong. She was crushed to death when the bulldozer driver ran her over repeatedly, according to witnesses.

3 Feb 2019 – The Israeli Defence Ministry announced today it has begun building the overground part of barrier around the blockaded Gaza Strip. “The barrier will be 65 kilometers long and will be six-meter-high, and will be connected to the new sea barrier Israel is building,” it added. The impact of the siege has been severe. Gaza’s industrial and commercial sectors have been damaged, with Israel’s ban on imports of fuel and gas leading to shortages and high unemployment.

2 Nov 2018 – Israeli settlers dumped their sewage on a Palestinian school in the northern occupied West Bank district of Qalqilia yesterday. The Azzun Beit Amin School playground was flooded with sewage for the second time in two months as a result of the settlers’ actions. Principal Alaa Marabeh said it would take more than ten days for the sewage water to dry and this has caused a foul smell to spread across the school building and risks damaging the students’ health.

The new wave of sanctions, the second since August, will target Iran’s energy, shipbuilding, shipping, and financial sectors. In all, eight countries will receive temporary waivers to allow them to continue importing Iranian oil after the penalties take effect. The European Union is not one of the recipients, according to Pompeo.

The illegal Israeli occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights has now been in place for more than 50 years. This substantial territory, part of southern Syria, was conquered by Israeli occupation forces in the 1967war. The majority of the Syrian population in the territory was then either expelled, or fled towards safety. Israel demolished their homes, buildings and entire villages in the Golan in order to build Jewish settlements where they once stood.
