Major US oil companies, including ExxonMobil, Texaco, Unocal, BP Amoco, Shell, and Enron, directly invest billions in these Central Asian nations, bribing heads of state to secure equity rights in the huge oil reserves in these regions. The oil companies commit to $35 billion in future direct investments in Kazakhstan. {Read on…}

Satoshi Ashikaga – TRANSCEND Media Service, 20 Aug 2018

20 Aug 2018 – Akihito is carrying a huge and unbearable cross on his shoulders, created by his father, Hirohito. Akihito cannot avoid carrying it. He has been carrying it for decades. It is far more difficult to overcome one’s ego and pride to accept the supreme political and moral responsibility for the sufferings of peoples, caused by the war that was declared by his father.

Jun 12-18 ~ QUOTE OF THE WEEK: “A crime against peace, in international law, is “planning, preparation, initiation, or waging of wars of aggression, or a war in violation of international treaties, agreements or assurances, or participation in a common plan or conspiracy for the accomplishment of any of the foregoing”. This definition of crimes against peace was first incorporated into the Nuremberg Principles and later included in the United Nations Charter. This definition would play a part in defining aggression as a crime against peace. It can also refer to the core international crimes set out in Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, (genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression) which adopted crimes negotiated previously in the Draft code of crimes against the peace and security of mankind.” — Crime against peace (Wikipedia)

The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.” – Christopher McCandless

Jul 11-17 ~ QUOTE OF THE WEEK: “Recently, I’ve come to realize; some people have eagle potential, but a chicken mind. They are well equipped to reach maximum levels of success, but they have determined within themselves to stay in a safe place of comfort… The eagle mentality soars high going beyond the call of duty. It does not believe in impossibilities. It defies all reason and logic; taking bold risks without the fear of failure… The eagle realizes if it begins to dive, all it has to do is open its wings and it will fly… The eagle was somewhat sad for the chicken. However, having an eagle’s mentality is to know when to let those who choose to remain in a state of bareness; go… Greatness will take you to places where others do not dare or are not permitted to go. Allow your thoughts to take you to heights of greatness.” – Latrina Johnson
